Book 4: Numbers (coming 2026)

The fourth book of the Bible. The primarily focus is on the Israelites' journey through the wilderness after their escape from Egypt, as they travel toward the Promised Land. The book gets its name from the two censuses (numbering of the people) taken at the beginning and near the end of the Israelites' journey. The narrative includes stories of rebellion, disobedience, and God's guidance. The Israelites, despite God's miracles and provisions, repeatedly complain and rebel against Moses' leadership and God's commands. The book details various laws, rituals, and instructions related to the Israelites' encampments, offerings, and priestly duties. It also recounts key events, such as the sending of twelve spies to scout the Promised Land, the refusal of the people to enter due to fear, and the resulting punishment of wandering in the desert for forty years.

Book 5: Deuteronomy (coming 2026)

The fifth book of the Bible and final book of the Torah (the first five books of the Hebrew Bible) consists of a series of speeches delivered by Moses to the Israelites on the plains of Moab, just before they are about to enter the Promised Land. The book is essentially a restatement and expansion of the laws and commandments given in earlier books, particularly Leviticus and Exodus, with some additional instructions for living in the land they are about to inherit.

Moses reminds the Israelites of their history—God's faithfulness, the covenant, their struggles in the wilderness, and their repeated failures. He urges them to remain faithful to God, to love Him with all their heart, and to keep His commandments. The book emphasizes the importance of obedience to God’s law for prosperity and blessings, while disobedience leads to curses and punishment. It also includes the famous Shema (Deuteronomy 6:4-5), which proclaims the oneness of God and the command to love Him with all one's heart.

Deuteronomy concludes with Moses' final blessings for the tribes of Israel and his death on Mount Nebo, where he views the Promised Land before passing on leadership to Joshua. The book serves as both a renewal of the covenant and a reminder of the responsibilities of the people as they prepare to enter their new homeland.
